Bio:

Dr. Ellen Roberts has served as the Associate Provost for Graduate Education and Distance Learning since the Spring of 2014, following a year in an interim role.
She previously worked as the Associate Dean (2003-2013) of the College of Education and Health Professions, responsible largely for personnel issues, curriculum development,and oversight of facilities. She also served for a year (2010-2011) as interim dean of the college.

Dr. Roberts received her B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Mississippi State College for Women (now Mississippi University for Women), M.A. in Physical
Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and Ed.D. in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her professional
career began as a high school physical education teacher and coach of volleyball, gymnastics, and track and field. She has also directed a Preschool Motor Development Program, coordinated women's intramurals, served as program director for many summers at a private girls' camp, and for most of her professional career taught physical education and wellness at the university level. Dr. Roberts came to CSU in 1987 and directed programs in Health and Physical Education until her move to full-time administrative work in 2003. She still enjoys teaching graduate students in her field of interest.
